Bar Buka
After the close of the famed lesbian bar Viva La Vie closed in 2017, there was a bit of a gap in the lesbian community for places to hang. In order to ‘fill the hole’ so to speak, Bar Buka opened her doors in March 2019 and since has now been rated as the #1 Lesbian bar in Amsterdam.
Located in De Pijp, she offers a lovely bar and lounge area. In addition to lovely drinks and cocktails there is always something yummy to nibble (as in food, ladies). Some nights are event such as Silver Party, Pub Quiz, Karaoke, Speed Dating and more!! Sometime a movie or some footie with the gals! Bar Buka is very much a woman’s space, very queer and trans including, accepting, welcoming. #wheregirlsmeet

Protests followed, and eventually, their own place with their own rules! … read more here
Pamela
Since the glorious year of 2020 Pamela has been a safe corner of Amsterdam for the queer and BIPOC community. With a brand that keeps expanding, like the wings of an eagle.
She can be found located in the centre of the west of Amsterdam. She is a performer with a thousand costume changes, and the best reveals. She is a bar, a restaurant, the communities club house, a place to leave it on, and – always – a place to take it off!
